Contract Video Specialists played a significant role in the design and
integration of this large government facility. This project involved the
"from the ground up" design of a new facility as well as the
timely re-location of an existing production plant.
Prior to the commencement of construction, Contract Video Specialists
provided all of the following services: Architectural interaction including
room size, floor plan, access floor specification, conduit run schedule,
electrical power requirements, electrical grounding requirements, heat
load, environmental temperature/humidity specifications, and
cabinet/millwork specifications, complete build-to wiring diagram of the
entire technical facility.
Upon groundbreaking, our project supervisor maintained a periodic
progress monitoring function in order to assure that our documented plans
were properly incorporated in the building construction. This periodic
monitoring continued until occupancy of the building by our client.
Upon building occupancy, our project supervisor moved the system
construction crew into the building, and set up a field office on-site.
Simultaneously, other technicians began dismantling the technical plant at
the former location, and delivered the entire complement of equipment to
the new facility.
Over a period of 16 weeks, the combined efforts of the Contract Video
Specialists crew completed the installation and commissioning of the entire
facility, and the client produced their first live-via-satellite program
from their new home.
