When Camelot of Upper Marlboro, needed a “one person” video facility, they called Contract Video
Specialists. Camelot is a premium quality catering and banquet venue located in Prince George’s County.
The project goal was to provide high quality video production capability…but provide it with a minimum of production personnel.
CVS selected Panasonic cameras mounted on AMX remote control pan/tilt heads.
The AMX Posi-Pilot joy stick control panel permits one operator to control 4 remote control cameras. An intuitive on-screen menu coupled with the AMX LCD display built into the control panel permits the operator to set each shot on “preview” and then move the camera to “on-air” with one keystroke. Multiple presets are available for each of the 4 cameras. If higher production quality is required, the control room can be staffed with an appropriately sized crew, and 4 triax equipped hand held cameras can be deployed.
The system is rounded out with Panasonic DVCPRO VTRs, and can accept VHS and DVD sources that customers may want “rolled in”
to their “special event”.
